La Vinothèque needed a website upgrade to better serve their clientele. Their previous site was outdated and lacked essential functionalities. Their primary request was a custom CMS that allowed them to manage their price list, reflecting their seasonal product rotation.
Additionally, they wanted a news page to share updates on new arrivals, seasonal selections, and promotions.
Other requirements included the ability to edit their opening hours, a functional contact form, integration of social media links, and a Google Maps location. Importantly, they did not want a webshop, as managing online sales would have been too time-consuming for their business.
As this project was part of my final project during my studies, the development spanned approximately a year. I began by conducting a thorough competitor analysis to identify relevant features and opportunities.
The design process involved preserving their visual identity while modernizing the overall look and feel of the site. I built a custom CMS tailored to their specific needs, enabling them to effortlessly update prices, products, and opening hours. Translation of the site into French and Dutch was handled by me, ensuring a seamless bilingual experience.
The completed website combines modern functionality with a design that respects La Vinothèque’s established identity.
Key achievements include a custom CMS for managing the price list and opening hours, a bilingual website in French and Dutch, a news page, seamless integration of a contact form, social media links, and a Google Maps location for better connectivity and accessibility.
La Vinothèque now has a website that meets their business needs, enhances their online presence, and provides an intuitive user experience for both clients and the team.
